Has anyone had any experience with these tyres on a R1200 series?

Yep – replaced my last tyres with Angel GTs for my R1200RT.  Decision was mainly based by price, as Metzeler Z8s were around $700 fiited compared with $450 fitted for the GTs.  Both good tyres, offering edge-to-edge confidence on the twisty bits of road in the dry and wet.  I can't comment on the mileage for the Angel GTs though, as I traded my bike when the tyres were about 8 months old.  I *squeezed* about 19 000km out of the Z8s, but that was down to ARGHscarywobblingaroundcounersalmostlosingthebackend mileage.

Thanks ScottMac, I've Z8's at the moment, with approx. 8,000k's on them. I ride two-up all the time, so I'm probably looking at 10,000 max. I tried “squeezing” more out of the last set of Bridgestones, but the rear went bang on a trip up north.
